Our Pastor

     David and his wife Patricia of 40 years are both originally from Mineral Wells, Texas.  Pastor David came to know Christ as Savior through the influence of his grandmother and her home church In Texarkana, Texas. As a young married adult, he began volunteering at his home congregation in various ministries.  Being convinced of his call to the ministry as a vocation, he attended and graduated from Bible College and Seminary.  Pastor David's theological trianing is diverse.  He earned diplomas in ministry from George W. Truett Theological Seminary at Baylor, Berean College, Theology degrees from Anchor Theologicall Semininary, Andersonville Theological Seminary.  He also attended Free Lutheran Seminary in Minneapolis, Minnisota. 

 

     Pastor White's first congregation was Woodland Baptist Church of Dallas, TX  where he was the founding Pastor.  This was followed by Culleoka Baptist Church of Princeton, Texas where he led a building program, then Fellowship Baptist Church of Daingerfield, Texas.  Then First Baptist Church of Lipan, Texas. Then being influenced more and more by Lutheran theology he accepted a call to Abiding Word Lutheran Church in Deshler, Nebraska.  From there he went on to serve Lutheran congregations in Texas and Minnesota. 

 

         Pastor White recently accepted the call  to northern Arizona  began his new pastorate at Peace Lutheran Church. Like his predecessor Pastor Johnson, he hopes to continue in this capacity until retirement. 

 

     David and Patricia  have two grown children: Daniel in Weatherford, TX ; Jessica in Mineral Wells, TX They also have one granddaughter Marceline in Mineral Wells, TX.

 

      The Whites enjoy spending time with their family,  Pastor White is a former professional drummer and enjoys playing with other musicians with various bands part time as a hobby, Patricia loves baking, shopping, visiting family and spoiling her granddaughter.
